Tough Times, Tough People Giveaway

Chicken Soup for the Soul: Tough Times, Tough People reminds us that tough times won’t last, but tough people will. Tough People is all about overcoming adversity, pulling together, making do with less, facing challenges, and finding new joys in a simpler life. This new collection shares tales of people who have been laid off, lost their homes, and endured wrenching life changes, but discovered the underlying gifts in their new situations. More time at home with family, creative “staycations,” more satisfying job opportunities, and renewed gratitude for health and life are just a few of the silver linings these survivors have learned to cherish.

These 101 stories about overcoming life’s obstacles are encouraging and inspiring. The stories are broken down in sections including Simple Pleasures, Silver Linings, Accepting the New Me, and Tough People. A few of my favorite stories are “Board Game Revival”, “Hair is Overrated” and “Marks on the Heart”.

I am so excited to have this uplifting giveaway to share with my Mommy Babble readers! I am making this giveaway simple without many hoops to jump through since life is tough enough right now.

The Mom Tree

The<br /> Mom Tree

I wanted to let you know about a great new site for busy moms. It is filled witth Mom Tips, Mom Picks, Mom Reviews and more. The website is The Mom Tree. This site was started by Trina Giusti and she now shares The Mom Tree duties with her mother and two sisters. One thing I like about The Mom Tree is that is hasn’t gotten too big, it has a homey feel and it is easy to navigate.

The Mom Tree is a place where moms can share, learn and grow. The fact that some of the content is user generated allows the site to have a broader appeal. Hop on over to The Mom Tree and check it out for yourself.
