Monday Motivation 4-27-09

Apply the three Rs to everything you do.

Rule-the thing we are or aren’t supposed to do. Example-We should always tell the truth.

Reason-The reason for the rule. Example-We should always tell the truth because lying leads to distrust and broken relationships.

Ruler-Behind every rule and reason is God and His character. Example-We should always tell the truth because God is truth, and we are to become like Him.

Heart Prints

By Author Unknown

Whatever our hands touch…we leave
fingerprints on.
On walls, on furniture, on door knobs,
dishes and books.

As we touch we leave our identity..
Oh please where ever I go today…
help me leave heart prints.

Heart prints of compassion,
understanding and love.
Heart prints of kindness and genuine concern.

May my heart touch a lonely neighbor…
or a runaway daughter…
or an anxious mother…
or perhaps a dear friend!

I shall go out today…
to leave heart prints…
and if some one should say…
“I felt your touch!”

Monday Motivation 4.13

I’ve just finished reading the Sunrise series of books by Karen Kingsbury. I love her novels and this series was wonderful as always. I love the way she uses real life situations and walks her characters through these situations while focusing on their faith in God. Her characters are in no way perfect, that wouldn’t be any fun to read. Her characters are very much like real people. In the last book in the series the Scripture theme is from Psalm 130:7 NIV “Put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with Him is full redemption.”

If that verse doesn’t bless you and give you hope-I don’t know what will. Have a wonderful week!

Monday Motivation

We had a very busy. yet fun weekend. My oldest actually took the SAT test on Saturday! Sunday was filled with church and a Pastor Appreciation Picnic at the beach. I love sharing times of fellowship with other people in our church family.

This week’s Monday Motivation comes again from the book “Nurture” by Lisa Bevere. I hope it sparks something in you, as it did in me.

“Nurture has the power to enlarge or awaken areas of your life that will make significant contributions. Any gift, ability, or talent we have is given to us to improve and enhance the lives of others. There is something within you that this world desperately needs.”

What is that thing? Find it…Nurture it…Share it…

Monday Motivation

I have been kind of tired all day. I’m sure it is because of the time change and some stress I am carrying around. I wanted to share some Monday motivation with you today.

This comes from the book “Nurture” by Lisa Bevere.

“God is stirring those whose hearts are longing to see the loose ends tied up. These are connections we need to actively search out and begin to develop. Sisters, I believe it is our time. Nurture, the language of the feminine heart, is being restored as women arise, recognize each other, and begin to connect for strength and purpose.”

Women, God is using us-now more than ever before in history to nurture those in our families, church’s and communities. He is calling us to connect with other people, hurting people and love on them and help them give their wounds and hurts to Jesus. Allow God to use you in this awesome and mighty way.
