Taco Pie Recipe

It has been over a month since I shared a recipe for picky eaters. First I wanted to remind you about our picky eaters blog experiment so if you are new to Mommy Babble click here to read more about this experiment. Today’s recipe is quick and easy to make and is good comfort food. I hope your picky eaters like it!

Taco Pie

  • 1-8oz pkg of refrigerator biscuits (plain-not butter flavored)
  • 16 oz ground beef or turke
  • 2tsp minced onion
  • 3/4 cup tomato paste
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning
  • 6 oz grated mozzarella cheese

Press biscuits onto a 9″ round cake pan.

Brown meat and drain. Add taco seasoning, onion, tomato paste and water.

Simmer 5 minutes. While the meat is simmering place the biscuits in a 400 degree oven for 5 minutes, then remove them from the oven partially cooked.

Put meat mixture on top of the biscuits. Sprinkle the cheese on top.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 more minutes.

Serves 4-6 people. Enjoy!
