When my oldest son was younger a friend burned off a copy of a CD for him. She had a son with the same name and had bought him a personalized CD where each song had his name mentioned and the chit chat between songs said his name also. My son loved it and began calling it his special CD. Though some of the songs I did not quite like, it was still a cute CD and lots of fun for him. He really felt like the songs were just for him.
Now that I have two children I have been looking for a personalised music CD for my younger son. He was one of those names that you don’t find often, though luckily his nickname is fairly common. And since I am on the hunt for a personalized music CD for him, I thought it might finally be time to find a new one for my oldest son as well. Something that doesn’t make me cringe so often. I stumbled upon this great site that sells a few personalized CDs. There are some cute ones that I really think he will like. And you can hear samples of the songs before you buy them, which is a huge plus for me.
The plus side to having great kid’s music that they love? You can keep them entertained for the entire CD. I can get a quick shower my the kids run around in circles to the music. Or even type up a great blog post while they are clapping and singing along. And if I’m especially lucky, I can set the CD to repeat and they won’t even notice that mommy has slipped into the kitchen to eat a secret treat all alone. It is one of the few times I can indulge in my chocolate habit without little fingers trying to steal it away from me.
kid’s music,
