Almost every mother that is blessed with being able to take family vacations wonders when is the right time to make the voyage to Disney. Most of us went when we were younger and it is an experience that every child should get to have.
So how old should your kids be before you take them to this non-stop, action-packed, expensive wonderland? This is the debate my husband and I have. He thinks we should wait until the girls are old enough to ride all the rides and not get worn out by 4 o’clock. He also thinks they most likely wouldn’t remember a thing a couple years down the road which is probably true but I think they are at the perfect ages to have a great time and be in complete awe. They would probably still even believe that all the princesses and characters roaming the park were real! Now that would be priceless.
Three families that are friends of mine all decided to take the trip last year each family taking kids of ages ranging from 2-9. I tried to get as many details as I could from their trips and they all said they had a great time and wanted to go back! Even though it wasn’t a “relaxing” vacation, it was one for the scrapbooks. I have also heard that The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World with Kids is a great way to plan your trip.
So here is my question for you. My kids are 5 and 2. Should we wait to take them to Disney??
